I’m nobody. I’m an orphan. A janitor. A college student. A virgin.
And him? He’s a god. One of the hottest action stars to ever grace the silver screen, huge and muscular and gorgeous and famous. He could have anyone in the world.
Yet, despite the chasm separating my world from his, I find myself in his hotel room, and he’s acting like I’m the most beautiful girl in the world. I’m not. He’s everything every woman could ever want, and I’m just…me.
She doesn’t know how sexy she is, and that’s it’s own kind of beauty. But for real, she’s gorgeous. I’ve met some of the hottest women in Hollywood, and none of them can hold a candle to this girl. I want her. And the fact that she’s closed off and impossible to figure out only makes the pursuit that much more intriguing.
The last thing I expect is for one night of pleasure to turn into something I’m unable to forget, even after she’s gone her way and I’ve gone mine. I can’t forget her, no matter how I try. And the next time we run into each other, I know there’s no way I can let her go again. No matter what it takes.

Review by Michelle:
Jasinda Wilder doesn't disappoint when it comes to the essentials such as charming, loveable characters, extensive, passionate love scenes, and creative and appealing storylines. She is also a master of the little nuances that really complete the story like clever and perfectly fitting titles, cute and funny back and forth between characters, and an undeniable, instant connection that in no way feels rushed or corny or over the top. Trashed is yet another example of all this with a bit of modern day fairytale thrown in for good measure.
The chemistry and connection between protagonists in Trashed is white hot and insanely powerful even before the two have actually exchanged names with one another. Once Adam and Des get to know each other, all bets are off and there seems to be no turning back.
Des is a tough girl with an extremely hard shell to crack. She has built walls around herself her whole life making them nearly impossible to scale and even harder to crumble. She has had some events transpire in her life that would have long lasting and traumatic effects on any one of us. The way that she is able to handle these events and move past them is pretty amazing, but when the truth of Des' past is divulged, it is basically mentioned, barely explained, and a little glossed over. As a big fan of emotional, consuming stories, I felt Des' past could have definitely fallen into that category, but instead of being a big reveal and a major element in her romance with Adam, it played a much more minor role and mainly only served as explanation for her actions.
I really loved that Des is a bit of a ball buster at times. She is tough as nails and didn't let Adam get away with much. Her teasing and calling him out on his cheesy lines was fun and extremely amusing. She is also curvy and voluptuous and plus sized and still incredibly beautiful and desirable and sexy. We may be seeing more of this in books recently, but it is always refreshing and heartening and a welcome change from the norm. The way in which Jasinda Wilder addresses, describes, and handles Des' self-image, the way in which the public sees her, the way in which the industry sees her, and the way in which Adam sees her is sometimes depressing, sometimes uplifting, but always admirable and very real.
Adam is the absolute perfect mix of down to earth real man and glamorous, sexy, exciting celebrity who is humble, sweet, and kind. A beefy film god who is determined to get what he wants even if just for one night, but is no playboy by any means and is open to the possibility of more. A man who does not let other's perceptions or opinions sway him, who knows what he likes, knows what he wants, and sets out to make it his.
What I loved most about the story was that Des was able to branch out, learn more about herself and take some risks before finally being ready, willing, and able to take the biggest risk of all. She was in no way made to rely on Adam, his support, or his judgment. She continued to be strong and independent and to learn what she really wanted and why she wanted it which made her ultimate choice much easier to accept and enjoy in the long run. She made choices for herself, good or bad, that needed to be experienced in order to embrace the inevitable and feel at home and at piece with her decisions.
If you are looking for a sweet and sexy story featuring two unlikely companions who will steal your heart while stealing each others', Trashed is the book for you.
