Eli Boudreaux’s family has built ships and boats in Louisiana for generations. He comes from a hardworking, wealthy family and his empire is growing by leaps and bounds. At thirty, he is the youngest CEO to ever head Bayou Enterprises, co-chairing with his eldest brother. His head for business and his no-nonsense work ethic is also quickly making him the best the company has seen in generations. His staff admires him, women adore him and Eli’s family is solid. But he’s recently discovered that someone on the inside of his business is stealing from him and he’s determined to find out who.
Kate O’Shaughnessy is hired by companies all over the world to slip inside and investigate every member of the organization from the CEO down to the custodial staff to find the person or persons responsible for embezzling. She’s excellent at blending, becoming part of the team, and finding the weakest link. She’s smart, quick-witted, and she’s now been hired by Bayou Enterprises, specifically Eli Boudreaux. The attraction is immediate and the chemistry is off the charts, but Kate has heard all about Eli’s playboy past and she has a job to do. Sleeping with the boss isn’t a part of that job, even if just the sound of her name rolling off that Cajun tongue and the way he fills out a designer suit does make her sweat.
Eli’s southern charms surprise Kate. The man whose reputation labels him as a ruthless, callous womanizer is not the man she’s coming to know intimately. He’s generous, protective and makes her smile. Cracking through Kate’s cool, reserved demeanor and discovering her love of sexy, expensive lingerie is a challenge Eli can’t resist, but her sweet nature, love of family and sense of humor pull at him in ways no one else ever has.
But when the person responsible for trying to single-handedly dismantle Eli’s empire comes to light, and it’s time for Kate to move on, to what lengths will Eli go to keep the woman he’s fallen in love with by his side?

Review by Yvette:
Kristen Proby has gotten me hooked on yet another series, this time set in New Orleans, centered on the Boudreaux family. The vibrant, diverse backdrop of the Big Easy gives the author's newest release, Easy Love, a sultry and sensual feel that’s nearly a tangible thing, especially when combined with the off-the-charts chemistry between protagonists, Eli Boudreaux and Kate O'Shaughnessy. Theirs is a case of insta-lust and, despite Eli’s self-proclaimed womanizer status and Kate’s attempts to keep things strictly professional, the two quickly find themselves in the throes of a steamy, passionate love affair. Easy Love has a little bit of everything – a captivating romance, a well-developed supporting cast of characters, a touch of suspense, and protagonists whose lives you become so fully invested in, you actively root for their Happily Ever After.
I have to give props to Kristen Proby for having created a number of memorable Alpha males, but she has most definitely outdone herself with Eli Boudreaux. Seriously, what's not to love about a hero that says words like dawlin' and cher (they mean the same thing, but still...)? The guy fairly emanates raw sex appeal with his effortless ability to seduce and charm members of the opposite sex. I admired Kate for at least attempting to resist him but what I loved the most was that she kept him on his toes. Kate was contrastingly fragile yet strong, inexperience yet eager to learn, and extremely passionate and loving despite having gone through hell in her past. Both Eli and Kate had their share of issues to work through but I appreciated that these issues were handled with tact, making the characters more three-dimensional.
For the first book in the series, Kristen Proby does an excellent job developing backstories for these characters, establishing relationships between the featured group and providing more than sufficient incentive ad to why I, as a reader should become invested in following their stories. Every time she introduced a new Boudreaux sibling, I started yelling inside my head, Oprah-style “YOU get another book and YOU get another book – EVERYONE gets another book!” For those of you keeping count, that's six siblings total. That means we're in more five more books and, if the Boudreaux family should happen to locate an additional member along the way a la the Montgomery clan in the author's With Me in Seattle series, I'd be perfectly happy reading that book too.
Kristen Proby is one of my go-to authors because her books are just plain fun to read. Despite whatever the characters have gone through in their pasts, their present focus is on experiencing the ultimate fantasy, getting wined, dined, and pampered with endless amounts of affection and sexual gratification. Kristen Proby writes with a woman's pleasure in mind, whether it's noting the shirtlessness and the sweatiness of the male characters as they simultaneously work out and converse about Eli's love life, or having the girls in the group get tipsy together and talk about sex. Honestly, these characters could've been dull as dirt and I'd still read about them as long as Kristen Proby was writing them but luckily that's never been the case. With Easy Love, Kristen Proby gives readers a seductive, emotionally-gripping and all-around entertaining story and I can’t wait to return to the lives of the Boudreaux family in the next book of the series.
