Military Romance Recommendations

Military Romances

The other day, I recommended a military romance, Off Base, a book of two interconnected novellas featuring military heroes by Tessa Bailey and Sophie Jordan (click to buy here). A follower (hi Evelyn!) commented that she hadn't read a military romance so, in honor of Memorial Day, I thought I'd make a quick list of military romances I've either read and loved or had recommended to me. They feature either active-duty or military veterans. This is just a short list but if you want more selection, you can check out this Goodreads list of military romances here.

The Hard Ink Series by Laura Kaye is a series of interconnected standalones about a team of ex-Special Force team members looking to clear their names after being dishonorably discharged. This is a romantic suspense series packed with action, mystery, and steaming hot romance. Check out the series trailer here.

Tara Sivec has several military romances to choose from. While I'm a huge fan of her laugh-out-loud romantic comedies, I haven't yet read these. Michelle, on the other hand, read and loved her new release, Fisher's Light, which follows a man returning home from war with PTSD. You can read her full review here. Make sure to grab your FREE copy of A Beautiful Lie, book 1 in the author's Playing with Fire series here.

I have had the Homefront series by Jessica Scott on my TBR since the release of the first book. These are interconnected standalones featuring military heroes and/or heroines. I haven't gotten around to reading these yet but I did one-click the prequel novella, Come Home to Me for FREE. Grab your copy here.

Captured and Wounded by Jasinda Wilder are beautifully written, emotionally devastating reads but Michelle urges that you don't let that stop you from reading. Here's her note from her review of Captured: Dear potential Captured readers, What I really want to convey to you and the most important thing for you to understand is that there are quite a few soul shattering, agonizingly tragic, terribly devastating elements to this story. Whatever you do, do not let this deter you, do not miss out on this extraordinary story. This is about war at its most brutal and it is unrelenting, uncaring, and unforgiving but there is just enough humor and intimacy sprinkled throughout to give you some much needed relief and the awe-inspiring hope, love, and inspiration are by far worth it in the end. Corinne Michaels has written two series with military heroes, the Belonging Duet and the Consolation Duet. Michelle read and loved Consolation. You can read her full review here.

If you're looking for some Standalones to read, I'd check out these books. Some are part of a series, but it's not necessary to read them in order. If you're looking for emotional tearjerkers, I'd go for Making Faces or Fighting Redemption. Tawna Fenske is perfect for a good laugh and Courtney Cole will tug on your heartstrings.

Entangled Brazen is an imprint of Entangled Publishing which features super sexy romances and one of their favorite tropes is the military romance. From Brazen's website: If you like your heroes hot, the sex hotter, and a swoon-worthy romance to swoop in and save your happily ever after, Brazen has the story for you. These are some of my favorite military-themed romances from Entangled Brazen, written by various authors.
