I wanted her to be my forever. But love may not be enough.

Why do I have to say good-bye to the love of my life? How can I let you go—when it’s always been only you?

Review by Michelle:

I am a tearjerker fanatic so it is only fitting that once I read the blurb for Only You by Stephanie Rose I knew it was a must read for me. Only You is everything that blurb promises; emotional, touching, and yes, tearful. With much more to this story than meets the eye, it is also heartwarming and sweet, fun and sexy.

A heartbreaking prologue promises plenty of tears and pain to come yet intrigues and entices you to find out more about this couple who are so very obviously in love, but for some reason can't be together. Knowing you are in for a heartbreaking story of what, at first sight, appears to be doomed love and a fight for a future, you start looking for clues as to what could possibly keep a couple that seems so perfectly suited for one another apart. You come to find equally heart wrenching circumstances surrounding the story which could prove to be almost too oppressive all at once if not done just right. Stephanie Rose does everything just right. There is plenty of levity in even the depths of each despairing situation and although you know the other shoe is going to drop at any moment, the story is sweet and delightful and not your average hardship.

Paige's affliction is not often addressed and not one that I knew much about going in so her diagnosis was a surprising one, her struggle enlightening. A serious condition that I don't believe gets remotely enough consideration, I applaud the author for addressing something that millions of people must struggle with on a daily basis and bringing about awareness.

Stephanie Rose writes wonderfully empowered characters who are berated and belittled, but pick themselves up, get themselves out of their dead end, depressing situation, and become stronger, healthier, happier people in the process. Just as we witnessed with Samantha in the first book, Always You, Paige has had a rough go in the love department and over the course of the story finally grows to realize the error of her ways, her worth, and finally gets what she has always deserved.

As a fan of second chance romances, I really enjoyed the way that this one evolved. It is a second chance at a missed opportunity really. At first it would seem pretty depressing to think of what could have been, yet Evan's outlook and the philosophy of everything happening for a reason and things happening in their own time is an important and thought provoking concept leading you to truly appreciate what the two have found after such a long and bumpy road.

If you are looking for an emotional ride with many facets as well a touching second chance, Only You is the book for you.
