Boiling Point (Crossing the Line #3) by Tessa Bailey: Blog Tour Review & Giveaway

Blurb:

Falling for a con man is the most dangerous game of all...

Con artist Austin Shaw's been in disguise so long he's not sure where his fake identities end and he begins. Now that he's been strong-armed into working for a specialized undercover unit working with the Chicago police—criminals with unique “skills”—the last thing he needs is to risk his iron control. Especially when it comes to a certain stunningly sexy hacker who tempts him with every look of disdain.

Polly Banks will never, ever trust a con man. On the trail of a ruthless crook who destroyed the only family she's ever known, Polly is unnerved by the shadow who follows her every move. The one who makes her pulse pound and breath short with lust. Austin. He's infuriating, enigmatic, and pure sex appeal, and she's determined to resist him.

But an untrustworthy man of disguise can become anyone he wants...including a man that Polly must trust if she's to escape their dangerous game alive.

About the Author:

Thank you for your interest in my books! I'm Tessa and I live in the crazy, loud, overcrowded borough of Brooklyn, New York. I love it here. This city is a constant source of inspiration, which is why I've decided to set my most recent books in the Line of Duty Series here.

I moved to New York when I was eighteen, the day after I graduated high school. Threw my suitcase in the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove across the country to find my adventure. I'm still finding it, little by little.

Thank you for being a part of it.

Review by Yvette:

How is it possible that Tessa Bailey's books only seem to be getting sexier? Each time I read a new book by this author, I think that it's hands-down the sexiest book I've read...until I get my hands on her next release. Boiling Point is the third book in the author’s Crossing the Line series – a series with a heat factor that’s already off-the-charts, yet the author truly outdid herself with Austin and Polly’s story. The sheer amount of highlighted quotes in my Kindle…but I digress. The twisted game of seduction between Austin and Polly is interspersed with a high-stakes investigation, blurring the lines between personal and professional for the two criminals-turned-undercover agents. Boiling Point is an entertaining thrill ride, rife with nonstop sensuality, pulse-pounding danger, and gut-wrenching emotions.

There's nothing I love more than delving into the heart of a character, learning what makes them tick and getting to see past what they show to the outside world. Tessa Bailey excels at baring her characters' souls on the pages, which makes it easier to become invested in their stories. I've been desperate to find a book that would draw me in completely – to engage both my mind and my heart – and Boiling Point unquestionably fit the bill with Austin and Polly at its helm. The combination of Austin – the sharp and assessing con artist, ever at the ready with a quick-witted barb – and Polly – the mysterious computer hacker with a score to settle – was nothing short of riveting. Together, the two were unpredictable, challenging each other every step of the way with a push-and-pull dynamic that exposed both their strengths and their vulnerabilities. Their relationship isn't about romance and sweet words; it's primal and raw and desperate.

While reading earlier books in Tessa Bailey’s Crossing the Line series, Austin and Polly were the two characters I found to be the most intriguing because they were wildcards and I was anxious to unveil their innermost secrets. Boiling Point exceeded my expectations, bringing the steam and the feels. With its undertones of danger and suspense, characters that are edgy and mysterious, and love scenes so unbelievably sexy they're guaranteed to set your lady parts a’quiverin’, Boiling Point is a fast-paced, addictive page-turner, and a guaranteed 5 Star read.
