In the mood for an angsty YA romance that'll hit you right in the feels? If so, Samantha Young's newest release, The Impossible Vastness of Us is a must-read! We're so excited to be part of the author's Feature Tour for the book, which includes a character interview with India Maxwell. Read on for more info!

Blurb:

"I know how to watch my back. I'm the only one that ever has."

India Maxwell hasn't just moved across the country—she's plummeted to the bottom rung of the social ladder. It's taken years to cover the mess of her home life with a veneer of popularity. Now she's living in one of Boston's wealthiest neighborhoods with her mom's fiancé and his daughter, Eloise. Thanks to her soon-to-be stepsister's clique of friends, including Eloise's gorgeous, arrogant boyfriend, Finn, India feels like the one thing she hoped never to be seen as again: trash.

But India's not alone in struggling to control the secrets of her past. Eloise and Finn, the school's golden couple, aren't all they seem to be. In fact, everyone's life is infinitely more complex than it first appears. And as India grows closer to Finn and befriends Eloise, threatening the facades that hold them together, what's left are truths that are brutal, beautiful and big enough to change them forever…

From New York Times bestselling author Samantha Young comes a story of friendship, identity and acceptance that will break your heart—and make it whole again.

Character Interview with India Maxwell:

Hey guys! It's Yvette here. I was thrilled to get the chance to chat with India Maxwell, the teenage heroine from The Impossible Vastness of Us. Having read the book, I am well acquainted with the character and her backstory but, for those of you who haven't read the book, I wanted people to get to know her a bit before delving in, without giving too much away. Having read the book, I was pleasantly surprised to learn a few new things about India as well. Without further ado, here's my interview with India...

What's the one thing you miss the most about California?

Well Boston hasn’t been the easiest place to settle so I miss a few things the most. My friend Anna. The weather. And I know it probably sounds shallow to some people but I miss my popularity. I felt important there. It felt… easy.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Uh my eighth birthday party I guess. My mom threw this purple and silver party for me. It was pretty cool.

When and where were you the happiest?

I used to think back in Arroyo Grande with my friends. Not anymore. The happiest I’ve ever been is right here in Boston, with people who finally really get me. True friends, you know.

If you could go back in time and give your younger advice, what would you say?

That other people have problems too. To not be so self-involved and open up my eyes and see that just because people come across like they have everything, doesn’t mean they do. Everyone has secrets. No matter if they’re rich, poor, short, tall, black, white. Everyone has secrets. And it’s okay to trust people if they’re worthy of it.

What's your greatest fear?

That I’ll lose the connections that I’ve made here. I have to work hard to make sure that we all stay in each other’s lives.

What's something your friends in Boston would be surprised to learn about you?

Other than Finn and Eloise… the rest of them would be surprised to learn I read a lot of romance novels. I think they think I don’t have a romantic bone in my body, ha! Other people know better 😉

What are five things you have in your purse right now?

My phone, car keys, my ereader, a note from Finn, and there may be Butterfinger peanut butter cups in there somewhere.

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Post-grad law school here in Massachusetts. Hopefully Harvard. If I’m lucky the two most important people in my life will be close by. 😃

I hope you enjoyed getting to know India! If you haven't yet, make sure to pick up your copy of The Impossible Vastness of Us now. You can also check out my 5 Star review of the book to find out why I think this needs to be on your TBR list--> http://bit.ly/TIVoUtourNSIAB
