From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a new novel about risking everything for love—and finding your heart somewhere between the truth and lies.
Auburn Reed has her entire life mapped out. Her goals are in sight and there’s no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.
For once, Auburn takes a risk and puts her heart in control, only to discover Owen is keeping major secrets from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.
The last thing Owen wants is to lose Auburn, but he can’t seem to convince her that truth is sometimes as subjective as art. All he would have to do to save their relationship is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin…

Review by Michelle:
A confession. A painting. A book. A story. A feeling. SO many feelings. Awestruck. Overwhelmed. Moved. Consumed. Impressed. In love. Colleen Hoover continues to surprise and astound me with each new book. She is a true magician who transforms simple, everyday words and phrases into a thing of rare beauty. She spins a story so heartfelt, creates a connection so profound, and details an experience that is so vivid and evocative you could swear it was your very own, your trials and tribulations, your elation, your journey. From a brutal beginning to an ending that is guaranteed to tear you apart and everything in between, Confess is one angst-filled masterpiece that will have you completely riveted and will make you feel each and every word.
As with a few of my very favorite books, Slammed and Maybe Someday, Colleen Hoover has once again drawn on her extraordinary talent of combining different forms of artistic expression, melding them together in the most meaningful, moving, and inspiring way, and creating an unforgettable composition that is truly beyond compare. Uniting confessions with paintings and incorporating them into a stirring, gripping story is absolutely genius, unbelievably original, and breathtakingly beautiful. Confess is unlike anything I have read before and I am highly doubtful that any attempt at creating a similar experience would inevitably fall far short. I am once again left in awe of the brilliance of this author, her dedication to all things artistic, her skill in incorporating and celebrating all forms of art, her ingenuity, her creativity, and her perception.
I am thoroughly impressed with Colleen Hoover and Confess on two fronts. The first of course being the art and its integration into this story, but, as per usual, the story and really everything about it absorbed me, addicted me, and enraptured me. Colleen Hoover has an incomparable way in which she plays with the English language making even the most mundane amusing, touching or powerful. She is clever, quick as a whip, sharp as a tack, and analytical, yet lyrical, eloquent, and expressive all wrapped up in one awe-inspiring package. There was not a moment while I was reading this story that I was not feeling something. Whether I was crying my eyes out, chuckling at the repartee, giggling with glee, surprised, or even angry, I was always right there in the moment, always connected, and always experiencing the events of the story right along with the characters. As with each CoHo story, there is always a gasp-inducing scene or two. In this case, there are a few shocking secrets as well as a fair share of breathless and/or heart-clenching moments that are truly unforgettable.
Confess is mind-bogglingly unique, stunningly beautiful, and completely spellbinding. Colleen Hoover seems to have the Midas touch, aseach and every one of her stories is always pure gold. Confess is yet another work of art not to be missed.
