In the final Broke and Beautiful novel from bestselling author Tessa Bailey, a blue collar construction worker and a quiet uptown girl are about to discover that the friendzone can sometimes be excellent foreplay.
Construction worker Russell Hart has been head-over-work boots for Abby Sullivan since the moment he laid eyes on her. But he knows a classy, uptown virgin like her could never be truly happy with a rough, blue-collar guy like him. If only she'd stop treating him like her personal hero—a role he craves more than oxygen—maybe he could accept it.
With the future of her family's hedge fund on her shoulders, Abby barely has time to sleep, let alone find love. And her best friend Russell acting like a sexy, overprotective hulk any time their Super Group goes out in public definitely isn't helping her single status. But after a near-tragedy lands Russell in her bed for the night, Abby's suddenly fantasizing about what he looks like shirtless. Chest hair and tattoos—who knew?
As Russell struggles to keep Abby at a safe distance, she begins to see through his tough-talking exterior—and acknowledge her own feelings. Now she's ready to turn the friend-zone into foreplay…and make him lose control.

Thank you for your interest in my books! I'm Tessa and I live in the crazy, loud, overcrowded borough of Brooklyn, New York. I love it here. This city is a constant source of inspiration, which is why I've decided to set my most recent books in the Line of Duty Series here.
I moved to New York when I was eighteen, the day after I graduated high school. Threw my suitcase in the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove across the country to find my adventure. I'm still finding it, little by little.
Thank you for being a part of it.
Review by Yvette:
I would never say no to a good friends-to-lovers romance, but my desire to read Make Me by Tessa Bailey increased exponentially the very second Russell Hart and Abby Sullivan were first introduced in book 1 in the author’s Broke and Beautiful series, Chase Me. Watching Russell fall over himself for the oblivious Abby was immensely entertaining, especially when the poor guy found himself firmly ensconced in the dreaded friend-zone. The unrequited romance element was admittedly a big draw, with the deliciously agonizing buildup and the sheer anticipation of the moment when Abby and Russell would take their friendship to the next level driving me crazy in the best possible way. From start to finish – with a few gut-wrenching pit stops in between – I was positively giddy reading this book, which is undeniably this author’s naughtiest and most sensual book to date.
With Make Me, Bailey takes common tropes – pure and innocent heroine and dominant Alpha male hero – and spins them on their head by infusing life and individuality into her characters. Russell is a man's man, gruff and rough around the edges with an overprotective streak a mile long. His blue collar background is a far cry from Abby’s privileged upbringing, which led to a sheltered life. Their friendship may not make sense on paper but they have an easy repartee and combustible chemistry that fuels the attraction between them. I relished the process of getting to know these characters and delving beneath their surfaces because they defied expectations at every turn. I loved the unpredictability, never knowing how each would react to any given situation, especially once sex entered the mix.
When it comes to romance, Tessa Bailey is in a category of her own, with her signature dirty-talking heroes and her distinct ability to bring fantasies to life in the pages of her books. Russell and Abby may be a case of opposites attracting, but it’s exactly this dichotomy that’s so erotic. Russell's fierce longing for Abby, his all-consuming desire for her is a near-tangible presence, evident in his every action and reaction. What’s most surprising is Abby’s response to Russell’s bedroom persona, which unveiled a new facet of her character that triggered an overall transformation. Russell's filthy imagination fueled by months of pent up sexual frustration and Abby’s eager reciprocation ensures that this book has some of the most passionate and unbelievably steamy love scenes I've ever had the pleasure of reading.
Entertaining, humorous, emotionally compelling, and outrageously steamy, Make Me is not only a captivating and enjoyable read, it’s the perfect end to Tessa Bailey’s Broke and Beautiful series. With each new book in the series, my attachment to these characters only grew and it’s a bittersweet feeling having to say goodbye when it feels as though their lives together are just beginning. That being said, I loved every minute of the book and couldn’t have hoped for a better ending for Russell and Abby and the rest of the “super group”.
