Disclaim (Deliver #3) by Pam Godwin: Release Blitz Review & Giveaway

Camila was seventeen when Van Quiso kidnapped her. Ten years after her escape, the shackles refuse to release her. Not while there are still slave traders preying on her city.
She will stop at nothing to end them.
Even if that means becoming a slave again.

Returning to chains is her worst fear—and only option. They won’t know who she is or what she intends to do. She’s prepared for every complication.
Except him.
The one who decimated her sixteen-year-old heart.

Matias is charming, gorgeous, and dangerously seductive. He’s also untrustworthy and enshrouded in secrets. After years of no contact, he finds her—on her knees, wrists bound, in the clutches of her enemy.
Will he sabotage her mission by needlessly saving her?
Or will he keep her in chains and never let her go?

Review by Michelle:

You think the Deliver story ends with the deliverers? Think again! A new dark romance from the queen and this time around we get to know one of the taken! And it's not just any dark romance, it is a uniquely dark and gritty second chance as well. The story of a woman who finds herself a slave for the second time in her life and the boy who had her heart when she was younger and has become a monster she no longer recognizes, Disclaim is heart-pounding, frustrating, frightening, and completely enthralling.

I thought there was no way I could fall for Van Quiso and yet I did, hard. Pam Godwin has a way of manipulating your heart, your mind, and your emotions that is absolutely unparalleled. So, of course, when it came to Matias, I had complete and utter trust in her to not only make me fall, but to plummet head over heels for our new anti-hero. Matias is an enigma wrapped up in mystery and surrounded by secrets. You feel the love and the longing he has for Camila from the very start yet his actions scream something very different. He is power and dominance and intimidation and everything you just may be afraid to admit you crave. A man you are guaranteed to love to hate, then hate to love, then adore wholeheartedly.

Camila is everything you could hope for in a heroine, she is incredibly strong, self-sacrificingly determined, unselfishly loyal to the cause and the fight for what is right, and feisty. At the same time she has very real vulnerabilities, fears she must conquer, and hidden desires making her both lovable and extremely relatable. This woman has a heart of gold, a backbone of steel, and some brass cojones.

We see a lot of familiar faces in this book, including our first glimpse of Amber and Van after Vanquish and it still amazes me how perfectly suited they are for one another, how each of their particular brand of crazy complements the other, and how they care for and calm one another. We also get to see the ever evolving relationship between Van and his victims. What a totally messed up yet completely fascinating dynamic there!

This story will capture you as surely as if you were one of those victims. You will be seized, collared, and conquered right along with Camila as you are inundated with question upon question as you sink deeper and deeper into Matias' depravity with her. Each and every moment is more carnal, more appalling, more intriguing, and more captivating than the last. More action packed and a whole lot more dangerous than the previous books, complete with a few mind blowing twists, if Disclaim doesn't get your pulse racing, I don't know what will.

Disclaim is a distinct and thrilling second chance dark romance and a new favorite in the series. A second chance like no other and an exceptional dark romance, the two in combination is utterly breathtaking and especially eye opening. A love story so sinful and decadent, if you are not already a fan of Pam Godwin's sexy, angsty, deliciously dark and twisted reads, you are sure to become a true believer.
