The thrilling conclusion to Crown of Lies from New York Times Bestseller, Pepper Winters
“My body blinded me while his lies destroyed me. Penn Everett swept me from my world and into his, and when his lies fell apart, I finally opened my eyes to the truth. The awful, terrible truth.”
Noelle Charlston had it all: her company, a love affair, power and protection.
However, she didn’t pay attention, and in one night, everything she believed in, everyone she trusted turned out to be worse than fake.
Now, she has no one to help her. No one to free her.
She’s on her own and has to make the choice.
Who to believe?
Who to fight?

Pepper Winters wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero, the better, and she constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex… her books have sex.
She loves to travel and has an amazing, fabulous hubby who puts up with her love affair with her book boyfriends.
Her debut book Tears of Tess is followed by Quintessentially Q and Twisted Together. You didn’t think Q could stop so soon, did you? Her other two titles, Last Shadow and Broken Chance will be coming soon.

Review by Michelle:
After an ending like we experienced with Crown of Lies we are left with question after endless question as to just what lies have been told, who exactly Penn is and what is he hiding, where do Elle and Penn stand, how can they possibly recover from all the deceit and betrayal, and what will happen to Elle now? After all the guilt, the pain, and the drama is it possible for Penn and Elle to finally find some peace and happiness? Only time and Throne of Truth will tell.
Pepper Winters, the master of introducing flawed and damaged characters that you can't help but find yourself loving and hating in equal measures strikes again. Penn and Elle are far from perfect, in fact they are downright infuriating at times, yet these two are endearing in their own special ways, enthralling, and will keep you on the hook to know all of their secrets, their deceptions, and of course, their resolution.
Not only do we finally get some answers about Penn, but this time around we get his perspective as well! This insight into who he really is, his thoughts, his feelings, and his true motivations is invaluable. If you thought you knew Penn before, and more importantly, if you loved him in the first book, watch out, this new side will have you sighing and swooning.
Without saying too much for fear of giving anything away, I do want to comment on the insane amount of strength and confidence Elle gains over the course of this story. Like she was growing up right in front of our eyes, we see Elle transform from sheltered, naive, inexperienced teenager to bold, brazen, unapologetic, and determined woman. It is almost like experiencing the story from a whole different person's perspective, the differences are so vast, yet the little glimpses of Elle with Sage and every once in a while, Elle with her father remind you of the Elle that we first met and show you just how far she has come along the way.
Jumping right into the devastation we were left with at the end of the last book, we are immersed in action, adventure, angst, and suspense right from the start. A true rollercoaster of emotion as one obstacle is overcome only to be replaced by another and another and another. Not just the purely physical relationship each had set out to have in the beginning, this book has much more heart and emotion involved. We get to the know the characters a whole lot better this time around while they get to learn more about each other, and really themselves, on this journey.
A solid conclusion to the Truth and Lies series, Throne of Truth has all the mystery, suspense, intensity and passion you could ask for. While I wish a bit more time was spent on the resolution as things seemed to wrap up very quickly, Throne of Truth is a wild ride with a satisfying ending to Penn and Elle's saga.
